I was really excited to share this book with you today. The Cranberry Thanksgiving evokes great childhood memories for me. We had this book when I was little and I loved it
! The story is great, but what I loved the most was the recipe in the back of the book for Cranberry Bread. My sister and I both took this to umpteen Thanksgiving Celebrations at our schools with a homemade loaf of Cranberry Bread in tow. My mom still has the book, but I wanted to order a copy for myself. When I got on-line today I was shocked to see the going rates of The Cranberry Thanksgiving. Evidently a lot of other people like it, too. I found a copy on Ebay for $30, but most are $40 and above depending on if you get paper or hardback. The kicker is that the audio cassette version is on Amazon for $925…that is NOT a misprint. Holy Cow! Too bad we didn’t have the audio version.

November 23rd, 2009 at 8:25 pmI had a favorite book as a child that is out of print as well. My mom’s copy was VERY loved…so much that it didn’t have cover, table of contents and a torn page! I searched Amazon for it, found it and HAD to purchase my copy for $90!!!
Seriously, for a book!
I promise, it is on the top shelf and is read, by my hands, OFTEN!! I am getting my money’s (and memory’s) worth!!
