When I was little I loved playing with my “People.” My mom still refers to me and my people from when I was a little girl. When my mom was asking for ideas for Christmas for my 3-year-old, I suggested any kind of people…army men, Indians, Super Hero figures, he just loves playing with people. Lo and behold, Christmas morning, my little one opened these Professional People and he absolutely loves them, as does my 5 year-old son. I love them. While I am not opposed to playing “Cowboys and Indians,” it’s kind of fun watching him play with a doctor and an auto worker, etc. and making them have a conversation. It is quite interesting what narrative comes up.
In a house with 3 boys, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find fun toys for the boys that we don’t already have. On top of that, I am in a “Please don’t give us toys” phase in my life, as the toys are starting to take over the house. These Professional People are fabulous, they don’t take up much room, can travel well and are very well made and durable. In fact, I had to clear my bathtub last night of a nurse and fireman, so they are waterproof, too.
